Re: 2 Dead In Arlington Shooting
So "breastaurant" isn't an eating establishment with a health department "B" rating?

Re: 2 Dead In Arlington Shooting
Very close to my home as well, haven't eaten at that establishment but have at others in the same strip mall.LucasMcCain wrote:This happened just down the street from my home. I have been dismayed (though not surprised) by how many of the local news outlets ran headlines to the effect of "two dead in Arlington shooting" instead of "armed citizen stops active shooter." I'm glad the CHL is being treated fairly by authorities thus far. For those of you not in the area, this took place in a decent neighborhood in the suburbs. One of the doctors I work with lives in the subdivision right there. This should reinforce the "carry every day" mindset. This guy was just at a restaurant with his wife when this happened. You just never know. Always be prepared.
There...are...no...safe...zones. Carry and be prepared.

Myself, I think I would have said, "Officer, I don't feel really well right now, and I don't feel like talking." That is an unobtrusive way of saying, "I wish not to talk right now", and gets you the time you need to get representation.Keith B wrote:Uh, I don't see in the link where he has said anyting other than 'he was in fear for his and other's lives'. You should provide basics on who you are, what happened and why you engsged. Sounds like he did. Nothing else is revealed that he may or may not have said.LAYGO wrote:This guy clearly hasn't thought out post-shoot logistics, representation, and SHUTTING YOUR MOUTH. :(

In the video, the purported LTC & rescuer is smiling & having a conversation with the officers.
I have no problems with what he did, but law enforcement eventually might & do you really want this as your legacy on video?
The LTC probably never saw this video: "Don't Talk to the Police"

Re: 2 Dead In Arlington Shooting
Recent updates say that the gunman had a 2nd handgun in his pocket, plus a couple of knives. Also, after first round from LTC holder struck him he started firing toward front door where people were trying to escape.

Re: 2 Dead In Arlington Shooting
About a mile from my house, was outside in the yard and heard sirens coming from multiple directions.
