I've read some not so good things about Radical Firearms. Thats a shame too, since I really like supporting Texas companies.

Bummed to get negative feedback about Radical. I was hoping for good news. I like local too.

It occurred to me that the next 8 weeks must be a good time to be shopping. I've heard that demand for modern sporting rifles has decreased over the last year. Hunting and holiday seasons are also driving sales.

What do you guys think of Armalite? Cabelas "gun of the week" is an Armalite Eagle-15 ORC on sale for $599.88.

Wish I had more experience to draw from. I'm enjoying semi-lurking this thread.

I keep seeing Radical Firearms from just southwest of Houston. Anyone have any experience? Price point and features are right.

When I was buying my first, several people suggested I build my own. That was outside the scope of what I wanted at the time. I would not recommend pushing that idea on a first time buyer. I didn't build my first car, computer, or house either.
