Re: CHL-8 Receipt Confirmation
I e-filed everything, prints included on 6/5. They acknowledged on Monday 6/6. On Saturday, 7/2, I had plastic in the mailbox. Submitting a scan of the completed course work took three attempts. The system was quirky but it could have been my browser settings.

Re: American flags ordered removed from fire trucks
We need to make sure this doesn't happen in our own back yard. When I read stores like this it just reinforces why we need to do what we can to keep Texas red.

Re: Got my plastic today
My Gen. 4 Glock 22 shoots like a 9mm to me. The G3 23 has some buck to it. 180 grain loads shoot easier than the others. I bought it used from a pawn shop. The pistol was in mint condition---no smilies on the barrel---no finish wear. It still had the copper anti-seize on the inside of the rail groov...

Re: 5th Circuit Court of Appeals - TX voter ID law
Photo ID or not, there must be a way to prevent citizens from voting more than once. There must also be a way to keep others not qualified from voting ---- illegal aliens and convicted felons. Otherwise, we will have illegal aliens, fraudulent voters and convicted murderers and rapists voting in peo...

Re: Verbal Notice
If you don't see 30.06/30.07 then you must be given verbal notice right? I would also question why it would be needed if you are carrying concealed but just the same better safe than sorry.

Re: Got my plastic today
I never show my Plastic unless I am stopped for speeding or to buy a firearm. I carry a Generation 3 Glock 23 98% of the the time in Kydex in the appendix position. Kydex wears the finish on the leading edges but it holsters well and secures the trigger guard well. It does not harbor moisture either...

Re: 870 express super mag help
I used a Supermag for three or four years here in TX and in AR duck hunting. I had issues with it accepting 3.5" shells. I removed the trigger group and it was full of mud and twigs. It received a deep cleaning. It shucks and jives with anything I feed it now. I still have it and a 3" 12 g...

Re: Introduce yourself
New here. 'Started shooting at age 5 with my father. 'Started hunting at age 7 with my father. At age 9 I was sitting on a deer stand by myself. At age 12, Dad would drop me off at the deer lease and I hunted on my own. (Yes I know. This is child abuse by today's standards.) In 1992 at the age of 28...

Re: Glock: Gen 4 17M/19M or Gen 5?
I have a Gen. 4 Glock 22 that I use without the back strap sleeve. It fits me better than any handgun I've ever owned in 24 years of shooting. I shoot it better than my M&P9. The thing conceals amazingly well for its size under an untucked shirt. Mine's a 2011 model with the frying pan finish an...

Re: Putting gun away in front of valet parking attendant
I don't carry if there is a chance I will have a drink with dinner. I'm not saying you did but it's a subject worth broaching. It's not worth taking the chance if you're carrying. I am faced with the situation you encountered daily with my job. I lock the pistol in the safe ahead of time. The less t...

Don't they have to have the signage by TX law to enforce no open and/or concealed carry?

Re: Glock: Gen 4 17M/19M or Gen 5?
Give it a while as in a year or two. The first department that took delivery on the 17M, the Indianapolis Metro PD, is sending theirs back. http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2016/08/19/breaking-glock-17m-recalled-police-department/ I've been shooting Glocks since 1992 and carry one everyday but wit...
