Did your buddy fluff and buff it before using it. Also the EMP requires a little extra love in the oil department.red2000vette wrote:Go for the Kimber Aegis Ultra II. It's a better pistol. Mine - no FTF's or FTE's deadly accurate out of the box. Lighter than my buddy's EMP by a hair. My buddies EMP- FTE's and FTf's left and right. He's ready to send it back to Springfield. He has 300+ rounds out of it so far and still can't trust it to carry. Buy what's made in the USA!

Re: My left leg for a Springfield Armory 1911 EMP
Mine came with three mags, and yes it had the coupon. I plan on buying several more an the take down pieceAEA wrote:BTW LTS........
Did yours come with 1, 2 or 3 Mags?
And, FYI......if it came with one of the older "Loaded" Coupons without any EMP stuff listed on it, you can still use the Coupon for extra EMP Mags. Just write in this code and send the Coupon in with the funds and you will get them:
EMP LOADED COUPON
Write in on the Coupon:
"PI6070 EMP 9mm magazine" ($19.50 each)
"PI4835 takedown piece" ($1.95 each)
50.00+ order is free shipping.

Re: My left leg for a Springfield Armory 1911 EMP
WOOT! I had all but given up and hunkered down to wait for another shipment of EMP's to hit Dallas. When my buddy called me on Saturday with good news, Cheaper than Dirt in FT. Worth had a one EMP in the case. I called them and was able to have it put back for me and I picked it up last night (Monday)!!
Thanks for everyone's help I really appreciate it.
**Pictures to come, have to clean her up and put a few rounds down range.

Re: My left leg for a Springfield Armory 1911 EMP
I have given my CC# to hold one with a local dealer that promises that he will get one by the end of the month. Price will be $1099
Until it is sent from his supplies I have the option to cancel.
SO....Still looking!

Re: My left leg for a Springfield Armory 1911 EMP
Yes they really cost that much, it is a fine little piece.
I live in Irving but have been expanding my buying radius for this gun and I had someone in Canton quote me 1350 one for today. That would be 1461.00 out the door. I passed......still looking up to about 30 shops called now.
I see the ones on gunbroker and that is a fallback plan. I would much rather hold it in my hand and look it over before going online to buy. Juts me.
*** I have decided to up the anti to my left leg and The Annoyed Man's right foot.
Thanks

My left leg for a Springfield Armory 1911 EMP
The wife finally gave me the go ahead to purchase the 9mm version of the EMP. I just got off the phone with over 20 dealers/gunshops and not one of them have one. I called everyone:
Ray's
Bullet trap
cabela's
D-Ray's
Euless Gun
Gander Mnt.
Gunmasters
Bsguns
Shooters club
Shooters edge
If I didn't know any better, I would think the wife knew everyone was out of stock Grrr.
