This sentence was better! But you forgot spaces before and after periods and commas!

Summed up perfectly, pretty hard to top that sentimentRussell wrote:This is the first time I've weighed in on this, I have been suspending my judgment until a consensus seemed to have been reached within the community, and it seems like it has, so with that in mind...
I understand the want to quell the personal attacks against HEMIzygote, and that is for a good reason. However, I do not fault anybody FOR attacking, as when he authored the original thread, there was an immediate outpouring of sympathy and care for what he had to "go through". But after the members of this community that had connections within the media and law enforcement began to research this and were coming back with negative reports of this ever happening, it was like a stab in the back not only for the members who showed support and sympathy for him, but for the texaschlforum.com community and the state-wide CHL community as a whole.
We pride ourselves on not only our compassion for one another, but also for the trust we place in each other. When we meet another member off of these forums somewhere, we know with almost absolute certainty that that person is an outstanding citizen and an upright person. Heck, when I first came here the members of these forums helped me out with just about every question and issue you could encounter when carrying. Matter of fact, I actually had a member of these forums mail me a holster to try out when I was holster shopping for the first time, all without even calling me! It was all done through private message here. On top of that, Jbirds1210 is sponsoring my first NRA membership (Thanks again btw!) so that I can become even more politically active and stand up for what I believe in.
Show me another forum where that kind of compassion, sympathy, and trust takes place in the firearms community and I'll gladly sign up and take part.
I am not saying that HEMIzygote has lied for whatever reason, but when it sure seems like it, this community is going to take it personally, and for good reason. A good place to be has been created and grown here, and we want to keep it that way.

The Chief was not available. Captain is 2nd in command right? His word is good enough for me. That and one Sargeant, and 2 Officers.WildBill wrote:I guess you can get a better source that the Sergeant.
According to the Worcester Police Dept website Gary J. Gemme is the chief.
Unless of course this is some vast right wing conspiracy cover-up

And Worcester Captain Ginn(sp?) called back and states this "did not occur" or anywhere in MA for that matter.lawrnk wrote:Well, as much as I wanted to believe....
I spoke to a Sargeant with the Chiefs office at the Worcester PD (508) 799-8651, and he stated this "is not accurate and has not happened"
I think I'll refrain from posting unless this topic makes a major turn towards something verifiable. I'd suggest the rest of you do the same.

Not to thread jack, but my kid is under 2 years old. I keep seeing TV and radio commericals about "cyber bullying" and I have to stifle a laugh.Lykoi wrote:Snake Doctor wrote: Remember when your mommy told you not to talk about people unless you had something nice to say? I mean I know we have totally wussified I kids these last 2 decades..but come on! I got bullied and beat up a couple times. Then I got bigger and let them have it. How sad this world is now.

Not to toot my own horn, but I think this answers your question quite well.
Snake Doctor wrote:Either...[snip]...HEMIzygote is young or immature or both and sought to post something so elaborate and intense that it would fire everyone up--which it did--or, Hz is telling the truth, and he needs your supportive comments and NOTHING more.

Agree. I have not been trying to disprove his story , rather PROVE it.Lykoi wrote:it's not about true or false anymore...
I kept checking sources b/c i wanted to find it.. I wanted to open Associated Press and have a big headline of 4 dead in pharmacy robbery, CCW defends lives and saves the day... I'm always happy to win, but there's no win in even finding Hemi wasn't being honest... It's a loss for all of us, and the only reason i'm still checking this thread is to see if he'll have the dignity to apologize or explain more...
It's not about right and wrong anymore, simply the WHY?...
I hoped to find something to quell the argument, prove it happened, and give Hemi his attaboy.

Agreed. Of course the liability of speaking about it is dangerous as well. I was suprised that the media stated nothing, but that was not the sole issue here. 2 Worcester police officers state that it never happened.Turfspanker wrote:I've been following this on the original thread and now here. My first post about it.
Note to self.
If I ever have to defend myself with deadly force, don't post about it unless I'm prepared for a character assassination before the details are "proven" by the media.
Gimmi a break. Some of you should be ashamed of your behavior. Its a shame, but this thread should either be frozen or come down as well. The "Waiting Room" is teaching me patience and it applies here as well.
If it is true, the media will eventually pick it up and we can all read about it then.
