Thomas,
I had to call the NRA and the very nice lady told me that yes, either you can give them a credit card no. over the phone for the $10.00 membership or she should could mail me the paper work as an alternative to a credit card payment i.e., allowing me to send in a money order, check, etc.for membership
Like you though, I couldn't find the $10.00 membership on the website. I just happen to know about it.
I believe a significant number of folks balk at the $35.00 cost...
In my opinion, the $10.00 membership cost would significantly increase the numbers of those willing to join - if that much lower cost was better known.

Re: President actively supporting bill to ban "most guns"
You can join the NRA for $10.00 a year - A fact that is not as well known as should be.
The $35.00 join fee is that high because you're not just joining the NRA, you're paying an additional $25.00 for a magazine subscription.
I have enough to read...so I'm one of the $10.00 members.
If ever you've held back joining the NRA because you don't care to spend $35.00, you don't have to.
$10.00 will do the job.
So, what are you waiting for?
