Re: Crimson LG-404G question

I had a positive experience with Crimson Trace several years ago. I had purchased a rail-mounted green laser for a Glock, but found that the activation button wouldn't consistently illuminate the laser. I contacted CT and they sent me a replacement, but the second unit worked just as poorly as the f...

Re: IN: Tampa plastic surgeon dies after jet fuel put in prop plane

Per 14 CFR 91.3(a), "The pilot in command of an aircraft is directly responsible for, and is the final authority as to, the operation of that aircraft."

Re: Any pilots in here?

Yep. Too lazy to work, too chicken to steal. Retired now, but spent many years flying in the military, then federal law enforcement. Are you interested in flying as a hobby or as a career?

Re: Once a Marine...

I've known lots of Marines, both active duty and discharged/retired, but never heard that "former Marine" was considered disparaging. On the other hand, the term "ex-Marine" was reserved for those with Other Than Honorable or Bad Conduct Discharges, or worse yet, inter-service tr...

The wording on the TCOLE plastic says almost that.

Re: Blue Label Glocks ?

There are several.
1. Go to https://us.glock.com/en/dealer-locator
2. TypeTexas where is says New Location, City, or Zip
3. Ensure the LE Dealers slider is green
4. Click Find Now.
5. Zoom in to the desired area.

The list isn't particularly accurate or up to date, but it's a starting point.

Re: Carrying your license to carry

I saw a video once where an LEO was discussing traffic stops. He stated that when a citizen presented an LTC card to him, he knew he was dealing with someone who obeys the law and had passed a criminal background check. He considered the LTC card to be the closest thing there is to a Good Citizen ID.

Re: Need your wisdom - DL etched on gun

“I bought a Winchester Ranger in about 1980...but for whatever reason...I used one of those electric vibrating engravers to add my Texas DL” I think some good folks in law enforcement were aggressively promoting the idea of engraving personal items in the early eighties. I was in the military then a...

Re: Knock on door at midnight

Three guys at my door at midnight? I think a call to the police is in order also. At least you had a camera and could see what was going on. That being said, I will always be grateful to the elderly couple that opened their door at 2 am one cold night for my 20 year old daughter after she ran her ca...

Re: Best IWB Holster for "chunky" aka "fat" people?

I carry a Glock 19 in a Crossbreed Supertuck, however, I just recently got a gun belt and now I am a believer. In the past I was frequently having to pull up on my pants and was in the market for a lighter weapon. Upgrading my holster from a single clip IWB setup to the dual clip, hybrid Crossbreed ...
