Re: Vehicle Carry
Unfortunately I cannot carry my firearm except after work when I get home. My employer frowns upon firearms on the property. Hell, you cant even mistakenly have a loose round that you accidentally dropped in your vehicle from a weekend shoot. The punishment is severe and you have to go to court to p...

Re: Show your DIY Ideas and Projects
Hey easy, that looks awesome!! Have my kind of beat up carry G23 that I'd have a go at doing that. What did you use for the cutting/stippling? Thanks! Need a Dremel and bits if you want to get rid of the finger grooves and to cut a border out. I didn't cut a border out because I didn't have the rig...

Re: Wait time can be more than 60 days
Thank you all for the feedback. I will contact the Washoe County Court House in Reno where my arrests took place and see if I can get the abstracts, and also try again on the DPS phone line. I appreciate the input from everyone. Scotty I wished they told me that when I did mine. After sending in th...

Re: New to this forum!
What were you in the Army? I just find it odd that you would feel uncomfortable or insecure about carrying a handgun.
Unless you have a vault in your vehicle, I would not leave a weapon in it.

Re: Wait time can be more than 60 days
The time has nothing to do with your charges or you in paticular, that's how long it takes for everyone in general. they haven't looked at yours yet is what that means. Not true. Did you disclose your arrests on the Reported History Form CHL-78C? If you did, did you send in the abstract of both arr...

Re: "Waiting Room"
I am now "print pending" my background got completed in one day of seeing updates online. That absolutely blows my mind. Same status update here. I have a clean record,so I was hoping it went through quickly compared to others on the forum With clean records that had to wait several weeks...

Re: Fort Worth has a new shooting range/retail store
I stopped by the week after Christmas and it is extremely nice. I really like how they have their pistols set up; they are out in the open but tethered to a piece of rod where they can hang when you are finished handling. They have a nice optics section similar to the pistols that allows you to try...

Re: 2017 Wait time
I am thinking it helps if you let them know on your original paperwork. My wife did not as she did not think the arrest would show on her record at all. My opinion is it should not, but it does. If disclosed up front, it likely speeds things up. More than likely if you live locally, it will be fast...

Re: AZ Non-Resident Permit Issue Time
Nowhere on the license does it say Non-Resident Permit. It does not have a picture so you need to also have a picture ID to go along with it if you're asked. Does it have your address? If not, it seems like a good companion to a passport when you're not driving. No address or resident information. ...

Re: "Waiting Room"
It all depends if you disclosed any arrests or claiming veteran status. Basically anything out of the ordinary. If they send your background check to the local PD for background check, you never know how proactive they are. It says whatever agency is doing it for RSD has up to 60 days before a respo...

Re: AZ Non-Resident Permit Issue Time
Just FYSA: I emailed the Arizona DPS for a CHL packet and received one within 5 days. The packet includes: A one page form for your personal info and a few questions just like on a Form 4473. (Only asks about felonies and not misdemeanors) 2 Fingerprint cards. (You can go to your local PD if you're ...
