ASC is an OK place to shoot but I always get nervous going there. Did I get here in time to hang my targets or do I have to wait half an hour. I need to fix my targets up, gotta hurry! At my new place there is no hurry up. Kick back, relax, take your time. Cease fire at will. Much more relaxing. And I save about an hours worth of time waiting around waiting for the slow pokes to drag in at the last minute to hang a target or five. Ya, I like my new shooting place. Hell the last time I was out there a rattle snake shook his tail just to say hello and he didn't even ask me for money. How much friendlier can a shooting place get? But I think I'm gonna build me a little 410 guage snake gun just in case he ever does ask for money.LINCHPIN wrote:+2 for me, ASC.XD_Dan wrote:+1 for ASC, but I think one-eyed-fatman has a new favorite.one eyed fatman wrote:I'm gonna have to go with American shooting center.

Ya... I have to wonder sometimes who's side some range owner are on. But their 20 minutes from me and PSC is an hour and a half drive. I lose, you win. :(Lindy wrote:ASC won't let one use suppressors there, and they have at times been hostile to pistol shooters working from holsters.
I like PSC, near Friendswood, which has neither of those problems, and enough pistol bays that you can usually find an open one to practice shooting while moving and other things which will get you tossed off most public ranges.
And it hosts an IDPA match the first Saturday of the month.
