The only caveat might be if you sign any kind of agreement to use the facility that says you agree to no firearms, then they might be able to revoke your membership to the rec center, but legally they can't arrest you unless you refuse to leave.

This is posted in small white letters on a general rules section in the front foyer of the rec center.

Not legal for 30.06 and there can be no town ordinance superseding state firearms laws.

If this is a city owned property, then it can't legally be posted even with 30.06 unless they hold city meetings there and only when they meet.
