Re: I just bought a new (used) Kahr PM9
Also, they have just introduced a CM9 model. Same frame as the PM9, but MIM slide stop, standard rifled barrel, less machining on the slide, only one 6 round mag, and pinned front sight to name most of the differences. I am sure it will be a seller at over $200 cheaper MSRP http://www.kahr.com/PDF/CM9093r2.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; & https://www.kahr.com/Pistols/Kahr-CM9.asp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

PM series guns have always had SS recoil spring assembles as far as I know. And, they are only $24 if you have a problem with one.The Annoyed Man wrote:My gun already appears to have a SS guide rod. I don't know if it came in the gun or if the previous owner upgraded it.SecedeTX wrote:Also, upgrade to the stainless steel guide rod ($40) for a wee bit more peace of mind.

Re: I just bought a new (used) Kahr PM9
I carry a PM9 and it is a great gun. They can sometimes be finicky on the ammo used due to the steep feed ramp, but a good fluff and buff and any ammo that has a semi-rounded/tapered nose should feed fine. I use the CorBon Pow'rBall ammo that has the nylon ball in the tip and it feeds great (besides having awesome ballistics!)
As for shooting, I have found these to be the most comfortable guns to shoot for a sub-compact, even with +P rounds. The grip design is a lot more comfortable than most others due to the way it breaks over the hand. It is longer and seems to help override the recoil. Mine runs flawlessly.
I usually carry mine in a DeSantis Nemesis in either the actual pocket or a cargo pocket of shorts. I also have been known to carry it in pocket to church in my Dockers or suit coat pocket.
