Most people who brag like this need to carry when golfing. That is due to all of the snakes and other critters they in come across in the rough and the woods while looking for their lost ball. :evil2:

:clapping:

Well done, sir :tiphat:

And insightful - in reality, I can sometimes keep a 7-iron straight enough to be charitably called "in the fairway", but other than that and being a decent putt-putt golfer (windmills fear me :evil2: ) me and golf balls don't get along (unless I'm shooting them out of the sky with a shotgun or picking them off at distance with a precision rifle :coolgleamA: .... I'm still looking for a driving range that will let me and buddies shoot range balls out of the sky :smilelol5:
I just had to poke at you there A-R. ;-)

I used to play when I was younger and was a decent golfer. At least I thought I was until I had my hat handed to me one afternoon. I was doing some training outside of Chicago and we were working half-days. Another instructor and I had been playing at a course that had twilight rates on their green fees. We went o play one afternoon and the starter only had a spot if we were willing to be in a foursome with a couple in their 70's who were part of a senior league. We agreed and played the round with them. They neither one could drive the ball very far, but when it was all said and done they spanked us both due to their shots being straight down the fairway and ours being in the rough or woods periodically and the penalty strokes. Kinda felt like the 'Tortoise and the Hare' story.

Re: Golf Course

Also, didn't realize the license showed expired either. Would be interesting to see if they have renewed it by looking at the actual license on the wall.

One way to take care of the sign issue and the license is to call the TABC regional office for Lufkin and they will validate the license and have them put the right sign up.

Hhmmmm??.."very interesting" and confusing. :headscratch Because it's an expired 51%? It was clearly a white, black lettered sign with a big red 51% on it. It should be blue but they haven't changed it, maybe? Feel like maybe putting an "extra club" in the bag now.
No. Gun Sign=Blue means they should have the 'Unlicensed Possession' sign posted and NOT a 51%. However, I think TABC sends both in the packet, so they may have put both of them up.

Here is the proper sign they need

Re: Golf Course

51% sign does not have to be in Spanish also. TABC may require it to be posted in another language, but no necessarily.

As for ti being a 51% location, it is possible that the bar is licensed by a contract company and their whole income is from alcohol and drink sales so they would be 51%. And, since they hold th liquor license for the location, then the whole address may be off-limits as they may have listed it for the license.

What golf course was it? We can look it up in the TABC database.

Also, it is supposed to be posted at the entrance and visible when entering the business.
