Should be a good shooter though. 
I have a Colt Nickel Diamondback .38 that are selling on Gunbroker for the $3K+ range!!!! And when it was bought, it cost $350 used.

Colt's 'snake' models are selling for high $'s. A 6" Python in pristine condition can sell easily for $1100 up. Your's looks like it has been parkerized and the competition barrel put on it probably for PPC matches. Still a fair deal IMO, but sure is a shame to mess up that beautiful Colt blue with parkerizing. Should be a good shooter though.
