... If my sister's friend who I found out works for DPS in Austin rushed my application? Not saying that he could/would, but if he did, should I feel shame?

Re: April 2009 Applications
I'm in for the wait. Lucky for me I have a wedding and honeymoon in two weeks to help pass the time.

Re: Addresses
I just came across this problem. My suggestion to you is put down EVERYWHERE you have lived that has your name on the lease for the past five years. It'd be better to list all those and them not needing it rather than them kicking back the application and you having to wait longer. Just my thoughts....

Re: A Few Questions.
Thanks for the reply. I'll make sure to include a photocopy of both my passport and certificate.
And I went ahead and listed all the places that I've lived at that has my name on the lease. Figured better to be safe than sorry.

Re: A Few Questions.
#1 & #3 didn't cross my mind til I read the checklist.
I asked about #2 and he wasn't quite sure as he hadn't come across the situation. He told me to call DPS (and will barring no can help me).

A Few Questions.
Did my initial class last weekend and had a few questions. 1. The officer who did our finger printing also signed the back of our passport photos. Was this wrong? Will it get kicked back? 2. Became a citizen in 2007. What and were do I put my (former) alien number on the application? And do I just m...

Should I wait?
I'm in the process of becoming a citizen. I was wondering if I should hold off on getting my CHL. Will I have to "update it" when I do become a citizen? Will it also be easier for me to get it because I am a citizen?
Thanks in advance to whatever help and advice y'all can give.

Gun Ranges Around Gainesville, TX?
I'm pretty new to the Gainesville area (near the TX/OK border) and am a bit surprised that they have no gun ranges around. I usually shoot once a week, but have to drive all the way to Dallas to do so.
