Re: Spotting A Hidden Handgun
I believe he was a Texas Ranger not a park ranger. And he said he could tell from years of experience. He approached me and quietly asked, he said he had to check if I had a license. It didnt bother me he asked, but did make me conscious of carrying.

Re: Spotting A Hidden Handgun
sjfcontrol, I believe it was because he was on the job for many years and can tell when someone is carrying. Looking in a mirror I wasnt obvious. I carry a full size 1911 and a loose shirt.

Re: Spotting A Hidden Handgun
I was spotted while visiting the Alamo. I was inside the main entrance and a ranger asked me if I had a weapon. I know I looked around for a sign before entering and thought maybe I had missed it. So I asked if it was not allowed, he said it was ok if I had a license and that he had to ask. He also said he has been in the business a long time and could notice. I showed my license and he said have a nice day. Made me concious all day that someone else may notice.
