Hello,
I've tried the search function, however, I cannot find a post where it references where in the texas CHL law they define "premises". Just wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction.
Thanks,
Christian

Carrying at onvention/conference - Adams Mark Hotel Dallas
I will be attending a conference / convention thing at the Adams Mark Hotel in Dallas (I believe that it is now the Sheraton Dallas). The conference organizer have a "no weapons" policy for the conference that mentions CHL's not being allowed but I dont believe the hotel or the conference ...

I lurk here quite a bit and I love the 30.06 discussion. I'm glad that Texas has made a very specific law regarding the 30.06 sign. To me that shows that the State has taken into consideration not only the right of the property owner to prohibit concealed weapons but also the right of the carrier. M...

I recently did my first qualification and was told by my instructor that if I had a malfunction it was my responsibility to clear it and if I could and still get those shots off they would count. If I could not clear it and get the shots off it would be just as if I missed them. I had no malfunction...

Florida
I'll be taking a business trip to Orlando next week and was wondering if there is anything in the Florida CHL laws that I should be especially aware of. I have looked at their statutes and they seem pretty straight forward. However, I did notice that it says that I cannot carry in places licensed to...

As a general rule, alcohol and firearms don't mix. However, there is no standard for what intoxicated means; it would be up to the officer who is questioning if you are intoxicated. That being said, I know one beer will not make me intoxicated. However, I would be extremely uncomfortable drinking an...

You guys pretty much summed up what I was thinking. I have no real qualms showing my CHL to an LEO, and I understand why that rule is in place, it's for my protection as well as thiers. I was just unsure if it applied differently to different circumstances; after reading the responses here and re-re...

When to show license to LEO...
I know that if I am pulled over I need to present my CHL to the LEO along with my DL, insurance, and registration. Also, when an LEO asks for my ID on "official business" I need to present my CHL as well. Correct? A few buddies and I go to some middle eastern / mediterranean hookah lounges...
