Re: make sure you have a good first aid kit at home.....
Wholly agree with the Annoyed Man. I have a serious kit in my hunting backpack and another in the truck that can be easily moved among vehicles. I never leave the house without a SOFT-W in a pocket. It is the simplest and quickest to stop a serious limb bleed.

New Rules for Post Shooting Statement
IANA Attorney, however, I recall reading Salinas v. Texas and thinking this may mean trouble down the road for gunowners. Lo and behold, the following is extracted from The Force Science News, February 27, 2018. The advice given to police officers is equally applicable to anyone using a firearm for ...

Re: Concealed Carry Reciprocity is on the Move: Your Lawmakers Need to Hear from You NOW!
Louie Gohmert has it right. Listen to him on page 8. Are we so eager to sell out on the combined bill, as is the NRA, so we can pound our chests and say we have National Reciprocity. I would not be surprised to see the Reciprocity portion stripped out and the Fix NICS (NIX would be more appropriate)...

Re: Police in Denison said a restaurant employee refused to serve two Denison officers early Saturday morning.
Condemning Whataburger is a knee jerk reaction. It was not the restaurant policy that refused service to the LEOs, it was an employee with an agenda. Whataburger took the appropriate action and fired the offending employee. Whataburger is a Texas company and every one I have patronized has been gun ...

Re: I got busted today...
As a group that promotes concealed carry, I think we might be making a mistake if we adopt a casual attitude toward printing. The passage of Open Carry increased the public awareness of encountering obviously armed individuals and this caused a flurry of 30.07 signs, all to often paired with 30.06 s...

Missing CoSponsor for H.R.923 - Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2015
Attention North Texans! Congressman Michael Burgess (R-TX 26th District) has not signed on as a Co Sponsor of H.R.923 - Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2015.

Re: Sign businesses calling churches
Knowing I have my CHL, my preacher asked me some questions about signs that were required on the entry to our church. He said he has received calls from several sign businesses stating our church is required to have both 06 and 07 signs posted. I explained they were lying, just trying to make a sal...

Mr. moderator, this topic comes up on a regular basis. Members of the forum try their best to answer the OP, but none address it as well and as thoroughly as Charles did in: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=56192. Perhaps you might review it and consider making it a sticky.

Re: Resorts that are posted 30.06
Have we possibly strayed off topic. It appears to me the OP asked a question about the legality of taking his gun past a 30.06 ban. While the posts about listing a prohibition against guns on the res page of a hotel web site are informative, I do not believe that was the OP's concern.

Re: Resorts that are posted 30.06
this popped into my last night... Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine is posted 30.06. When family went there earlier this year we kept our weapons locked in the vehicle.... Now here's my question... Since 30.06 is applicable if you are carrying concealed, would it be applicable if your weapons are unloa...

Re: Back Door Gun Control through Insurance Premiums
Most of the responders to the OP are missing the point. Do not approach the issue from an actuarial point of view, rather see it as a political tool to make America disarm. We already know the basic premiums for the Affordable Care Act are going to increase substantially over the coming years. Now, ...

Back Door Gun Control through Insurance Premiums
The Florida legislature recently passed a law prohibiting discrimination by insurance providers against gun owners in Auto and Property policies. I would like Texas to enact a similar but more comprehensive law to include Life and Health policies. I fear the Affordable Care Act (obamacare, a plan fo...
