Had there been a "friendly fire" incident however...

I think initially it was an accident it got out at all. They were interviewing two people soon after the shooting. One was a doctor that "played dead" and ran around "checking pulses" after the shots ceased and the other was one that ran toward the shots to help; they had already engaged the shooter and he helped restrain him. When asked if he was afraid he said something to the effect of, "I carry a weapon so no. By the time I got there the shooting had stopped and some of them were struggling to subdue the shooter." He was also very self effacing.

Perhaps it'll help the cause to note that, the only person in the area we KNOW had a CHL ran toward the shots and helped restrain the shooter.
