We should go to paper ballots only. No Straight Party voting allowed, just a list of names and offices they are running for and fill in the blank.
If you're too stupid to vote like that you should stay home and paper ballots are very hard to manipulate once filled out and submitted.

THE RISE OF POLITICAL CORRECTNESS
By: Angelo M. CodevillaThat’s just one paragraph from a long and brilliant article on the subject of political correctness; and explains why we are, in the long term, doomed. They will have their revolution, sooner or later, and lately, it’s looking like sooner. What serves progressive revolutionaries’ interests is not in doubt. Although each of progressivism’s branches differs in how it defines society’s “structural” fault, in its own name for the human reality that it seeks to overcome, and in the means by which to achieve its ends, progressives from the 19th century to our time are well nigh identical in their personal predilections—in what and whom they hate even more than in what they love. They see the culture of what Marxists call “bourgeois morality” as the negation of their identity and authority. That identity, their identity, is to be promoted, endlessly, by endless warfare against that culture. That is why the cultural campaigns of otherwise dissimilar progressives have been so similar. Leninist Russia no less than various Western democrats have tried to eradicate religion, to make it difficult for men, women, and children to exist as families, and to demand that their subjects join them in celebrating the new order that reflects their identity. Note well: cultural warfare’s substantive goal is less important than the affirmation of the warriors’ own identity. This is what explains the animus with which progressives have waged their culture wars.
Never pick a fight you can't win.

It’s a great idea, just not going to happen. Colion and the rest of us are forced to change minds one at a time because of the progressive socialists who control the networks.
Not much chance such a wish will come true but at least he's got a large enough following on YouTube to catch a lot of people outside our gun loving universe.

https://www.nratv.com/series/noirGuns aren't political. They're the symbolic representation of your right to live. It should scare all of us that we live in a country where something so critical is a taboo topic. I'm tired of the political correctness and dishonesty that have become so common in any conversation about guns. If we can't get past our own discomfort and talk about our freedom, we’re doomed to lose it. On NOIR, I'm doing my part: challenging everyone, whether you're pro, anti or indifferent, to push past the politics and talk about this freedom on real terms.
And of course, it wouldn't be my show if I wasn't shooting some cool guns in the process.

This, and be activist by reminding everyone you even think might lean right in any way to get to the polls.Flightmare wrote: ↑Mon Oct 22, 2018 1:05 pm I would argue that none of us should be complacent. Cruz may win by a large margin, but that is hardly guaranteed. Vote, and make your voice heard!
This is the first time since I began voting I hit the polls in the first hour they opened.
This is one of these years where every vote counts and the stakes are increcibly high.
If republican't don't gain seats in the senate, and especially if they should lose the house the next two years are goig to be rough.
Trump hasn't got a principled bone anywhere in his body so he'll do whatever it takes to leave office a success even if it requires throwing everyone who supported him thus far under the bus to accomplish it.
More than him needing our support, the only way we can control him is the expand the lead in the senate and keep control of the house.
There's probably a better than 90% chance of at least one, if not two more supreme court appointments coming in the next two years. Ginsburg looks like walking death and at least one more is well over eighty and considering retirement.
If Trump gets even one more of these and a Republican Senate is still there for the confirmation this nation is going to swing back right further than we've seen in our lifetimes and it will last for probabl two generations.
I get tired of hearing Hannity tell us that "this year is the most important election of our lifetimes" but in truth this one very well may be.

In all that time I've never seen him in anyway pretend to be anything other than what he is and he's in fact reminded votes constantly throughout of exactly who and what he is.
Beto... . well no.

The longtime speaker of the house was the big problem that kept the decent republicans and conservatives from advancing the cause at a reasonable rate. He was nothing but a leftwing democrat with an R by his name.tbrown wrote: ↑Sat Oct 13, 2018 6:32 pmIf the GOP party leadership can't make Republican legislators toe the line on platform issues, that's a big problem. When they do that, they make their endorsement a rubber stamp and effectively useless for conservatives who care about issues more than they care about the party.WildRose wrote: ↑Mon Oct 01, 2018 2:45 amUnlike the democrats it's hard as all get out to get republicans to vote a straight party line on anything controversial because so many of them come from purple districts.tbrown wrote: ↑Sun Sep 30, 2018 5:13 pmOn that we agree completely. You're not going to find a dem that's going to vote with them consistently either and third party votes are just a wasted vote that help dem's win.
Where we have to take a stand and get active is in the primaries to ensure conservatives, not just republicans make the trip to DC and then we can effect some real change.
I told my elected officials what they need to accomplish to earn my vote. Incumbents who don't deliver don't get my vote.
He's gone now and I have some faith we'll start gaining a lot more ground a lot more rapidly.
Voting for anything else even third party just ensures we hand over power to those who see us as the enemy.

Beto will have an hour to him self on CNN, as Ted declined to come on CNN.
I get that it's cnn, but he's giving bo a lot of free lee way in this race. I hope Ted knows something that we don't because I'm a bit nervous.
I watch cnn when hot topics are on (like the Kavanaugh accusations) to keep abreast of the other team's arguments/accusations... I also know that LOTS of people who aren't politically active (or affiliated) watch cnn. My point though was that bo will say a number of things that won't be accurate and will get traction since no one is there to correct it. And I think he'll use some clips of it in commercials. Regardless, nothing good comes from an hour of unchecked commentary from him as I'm sure he'll lie about Ted Cruz and both of their positions on issues.
TV's are expensive and I"m armed.

Article on homemade political yard sign removed by police.
Apparently a typical Beto supporter. Shows a little girl with a Republican Elephants trunk just under her dress.
Not sure why the police would be involved. Does it violate some law?
Probably in violation of some local obscenity ordinance. At issue in the small community of Hamilton was a homemade yard sign featuring an elephant decorated in red, white and blue with its trunk up the skirt of a female saying the word “Help.” The sign said “Your vote matters.”

Re: Can Beto O’Rourke really beat Ted Cruz?
It's sad that the democrats have resigned themselves to buying off the poor and importing illegals to gain and hold power for as long into the future as we can foresee. Worse, they are closer to succeeding now than perhaps at any point in history thanks to the last administration basically doing nothing about the 12-20 million illegals already here but basically welcoming as many more to come as can get here.Ortiz wrote: ↑Mon Oct 01, 2018 4:07 pm My wife and I just registered to vote. In my area, I have only seen one "Beto" sign but right across the street from the elections office was a house with 3 signs for Beto. The honest truth is down here in deep south texas, the simple phrase of "If you don't vote for Beto, they are going to take away your benefits" is what scares the crap out of people to go and vote. Add, "He will bring sanctuary cities here so they can't deport such and such" and you have an almost guaranteed vote throughout the county.
My wife and I are going to vote for Ted Cruz and hope he wins, but down here, he will most likely lose. I hope I'm wrong, I have been seeing more and more trucks flying the U.S along with the "Don't tread on me" flags. I have yet to see ANY Ted Cruz signs but the people down here are NUTS. Should they see it, they will want to mess with your car, the sign, or home. I'm hoping for an actual Red Wave down here and will be completely surprised if the RGV starts turning red. Guess we'll see.
Even though most of these people can't currently vote (comprehensive immigration reform/amnesty) however their kids will be legally eligible to vote the day they turn 18. We're now 2 generations past the last promise to get control of our borders which the dem's of course immediately backed down on and neither Bush had the stones to make it a priority.
If we don't take care of it in the next few years we will have surrendered the country to a new "class" of citizen, those from foreign countries drawn here on the promise of never ending welfare benefits who will be willing to take whatever they want by force if it is refused.
That's just the sad reality of what has happened over the last 40 years.
Fortunately the Kavanaugh hearings seem to really be energizing the sane people to get out and vote against a complete takeover by the radical left in November.
