Re: Traffic Stop Backup

Recently I was driving through the fairly desolate ranch land in South Texas when a DPS trooper pulled in front of me and stopped a pickup. I saw only two occupants in the pickup, but when the driver pulled over there were at least six people who jumped out on both sides and started running for the ...

Re: S&W lightweight??????????

For her own birthday, my wife just purchased a S&W 638 which is lightweight, shrouded hammer. The guy in the gun store told her that it would not be a pleasant gun to shoot because of the light weight. But after about 150 rounds at one session, she was very comfortable with it. We did some draw ...

I was wearing a photographer type vest long before I got my CHL. It's main purpose was to carry lots of candy and other goodies for when I went to visit the grandkids. I'm also an amateur photographer so I actually load it down with extra lenses, filters, etc. Now I sometimes wear it when I want to ...

This deep cover holster is certainly a compromise between speed and accessibility. I can wear this or the smart carry to work because I'm a tucked shirt kind of guy. So it's a case of wearing this holster or not carrying when I'm at work. With snap-front shirts, it's not too difficult to draw quickl...

I've had a kangaroo holster for a few months now and wear it almost every day. The only problem I have with it is that my Walther PPK will sweat on a typical day down here in the valley. I contacted the maker about it, asking why the pouch is not more like the Smart Carry. He said that it was tried ...

Not to throw cold water on a fun thread, but I think the claim of 65 pounds is a little bit of an exaggeration. According to this conservation website, http://www.coconutcrab.co.uk/ they only get up to 11 pounds. I've lived in the tropical islands of the south pacific and never saw any that were big...

I'm not sure he has the authority to disarm you or not, but I can certainly understand his action. He can never know when the seemingly polite, friendly person he just stopped will pull a gun and shoot him in the back when he goes back to his car to check the license. If he asks me for my weapon, I'...

Looking back on it now, that 26 years just seems like a blur. So many memories, good and bad. Lots of souvenirs over the years from all the exotic places we went, my house looks like a museum. I'm still traveling, but now in the oil business.

Well that's true. But I am also a recreational sailor. I have a Catalina 25 sailboat. Actually, I never even thought about naming myself
CoastieCGA72. Hmmmm, nah, too much trouble.
