Re: I forgot to update my address on my DL, will this affect my LTC application????
Also do I need to upload a photo of my drivers license and send to them? Or will they be able to see the one they have on file from my drivers license record?

I forgot to update my address on my DL, will this affect my LTC application????
Hi all, I totally forgot to change my address when I moved last year.. my drivers license has my old address on it. I put my NEW address on the certificate from the training course. I also used my new address when I completed the application online, and also when I scheduled my finger printing... I ...

Re: Cheap ranges to shoot at?
I can't help with ranges in your area but did want to suggest that you separate the two items, at least as you perceive the costs. If you will buy a bulk box of ammo, you can get it fairly cheap... lots of mail order options (SG Ammo, Freedom Munitions, etc.) and in Houston, you have a freedom muni...

Cheap ranges to shoot at?
Hi all,
Do you guys know of any cheap, low cost ranges to shoot at? It gets a little expensive with ammo and range fees.
Please fill me in with some good low cost places in Houston.

Carrying target ammo or hollow point?
Hi all, I was wondering if it was okay to use target ammo for self defense? I know it’s not smart due to over penetrating the target and hitting others beyond the target. However, I can’t afford to purchase 200 rounds of hollow points to blow through at the range. But I also don’t know if my gun wil...

Liability insurance costs?
Hi all,
Is it smart to get insurance since i will be carrying a pistol around? I’d hate to end up bankrupt in legal expenses if I ever need to use my firearm. How much does this type of insurance usually cost? And what are some reputable places that offer it?
Thanks

Re: Nervous about my proficiency test next week
That would be great. When are you available? What all should I bring? Ammo, and my Ruger? What is the range fee there? Any other fees? PSC is a private club with no fee for bringing a guest. That said, Charles makes a very generous offer as his time is worth far more than even boutique range fees. ...

Re: Nervous about my proficiency test next week
I think you may be in Houston or the surrounding area. I would be happy to meet you at PSC Shooting Club in Friendswood and let you shoot the course for practice, if you wish. Chas. Nervous about my proficiency test next week
Hi all, Could you tell me how the proficiency will go to ease my stress? I am a novice. I’ve shot a gun about 3 times in my life. I know the basics of how to load, reload, basic gun safety. Will the test Procter ask me to demonstrate anything special? Also, Im not terribly accurate with my Ruger lcp...

Should I conceal carry a .22 pistol?
I know it’s not the best choice, but does anyone carry a .22? The reason I ask is because I am not very accurate at shooting larger caliber pistols, even with a lot of practice. The recoil makes me miss my target a lot. However, with the .22 I can consistently shoot very accurately. Head shots and h...

Re: CC a Ruger LCP 2? What are your thoughts?
Thanks for your reply. I just purchased an lcp 2 today. I had the lcp 1 previously. It was really snappy to shoot. Lots of recoil. I hear the 2 is a lot better. I can tell the trigger is really improved, and the sights are much better.

CC a Ruger LCP 2? What are your thoughts?
Hi all, new here and about to enroll in a course so I can get my CHL. My weapon of choice is the lcp. Is this a good option for concealed carry? Also is it true that Texas reduces their fees for carry permits? I read somewhere that I. Sept 2017, the free went from $140 to $40. If so, that’s a lot of...
