Same. Being a lefty is one thing that saves my bank account.
Yeah; more companies should make 1911 models specifically for those of you who are "correct" handed. The other upside to that is fewer of us right-handers at the range wouldn ask if we could shoot your really slick-looking gun...

Springfield Introduces Two New Emissary Model 1911s

Details here: https://www.springfield-armory.com/1911 ... -handguns/
Combining forged steel construction for durability with a beautiful two-tone finish, the Emissary is now available in a 5" model in 9mm as well as a 4.25" version in .45 ACP. Both pistols feature grenade-pattern checkering on their stainless steel frames and G10 grips, as well as a Tri-Top cut to their carbon steel slides, giving them custom-grade styling. In addition, a heavy-profile stainless steel forged bull barrel delivers maximum accuracy and reduces felt recoil. The Emissary, in both the 5" 9mm and 4.25" .45 ACP versions, blends form and function seamlessly in a defensive-minded firearm loaded with custom-grade features.

I don't mind the weight of an all-steel gun, but that 4.25" model makes it a little more attractive for every day than its big brother (and, yeah, kind of a purist, I prefer 1911s in .45 ACP). I long ago decided that I really didn't want an ambi-safety on a carry 1911, and I like the bull barrel and the aggressive (and aggressive looking) "grenade" checkering. It's a good thing I'm not a wealthy guy. I'd buy way too much stuff...
