well, I called the Yamaha Guy, because I know him, his bikes are not shipped with large silica packs, but he sells it for keeping boats and RV's dry in the off season. $6+ after tax for a temp solution, and certainly easy.

Another creative, no-cost solution: Visit your local Harley-Davidson dealer. The bikes come shipped with some industrial-sized desiccant packs. Most dealers just toss the silica packets in the dumpster when they unpack the bikes; no real reason to keep them. If you ask, you can probably have an armful to carry away.

good idea, I "kind-a" know the owner,,, Guess I could colect them from my over the counterr meds as well,,, :smilelol5:

Gun safe in humid area, need dehumidifier advise?

I know there are a lot of product out there, but I am sure 1/2 dont work. their is no power, so I need one that is battery or no power at all, it’s in a closet in the garage, and very humid. I also keep papers in it, that I don’t want to mildew. It’s a typical big save from academy, nothing special, but will keep the kids and smash and grabs(ers) out.

What do you boys suggest?

I hear good things about the goldenrod, but it only plugs in as best I can tell,
