Of course you can. You can say anything you want. But who knows what the company will do? Texas is still an "at will" state. You can quit for any reason (like a policy prohibiting guns) and they can let you go for almost any reason (except race, religion, etc.)flechero wrote:I wonder if you could say something like it's my wife's- she keeps jewelery in it when we travel. Jim hit the nail on the head.seamusTX wrote:A private employer or business cannot forcibly search your vehicle, but they can fire you (in the case of an employer) or refuse entry. Nearly every vehicle that enters an oil refinery or port is searched on that basis.

Re: vehicle search by employer??
Same with government buildings like libraries and community centers. And maybe not off limits even if posted.PappaGun wrote:Malls?garcia946 wrote:I seriously doubt that an employer can search your vehicle even in the business parking lot.
Goes back to where we can not take our firearm , school ( leave it in the car ) malls ( leave it in the car ) goverment buildings ( leave it in the car ). Thoses places can`t search your vehicle....kinda like your house , can`t search without search warrant
I would never go in a mall with out my firearm. And they are not off limits unless posted.
Sounds like somebody got a bad instructor.
