WTT HK USP .45 for Sig 220/250
Full size, two 10 rd mags, night sights, DA/SA. I'll call it 95% condition, it may be a little better. There are a couple small blemishes on the slide. Top picture, just ahead of the serrations is one scratch. Second pic what looks like a scratch on the beveled edge of the slide is just glare from t...

Re: Sig 250, pros & cons?
I'm looking for my wife (I know she needs to try them herself, but I am trying to narrow the field a little for her). Thanks to all. I liked the feel of the pistol enough that I want to buy it for her, and I almost hope she doesn't like it. Her not liking it would be just fine. Really, though, I am...

I'm pretty well talked into it. I'd like to see Comp Tac offer a holster for it, though. I guess they probably will, eventually.

Re: Sig 250, pros & cons?
Thanks to all. I liked the feel of the pistol enough that I want to buy it for her, and I almost hope she doesn't like it. I've always been partial to .45s and HK, but I'm sure I could find room for the Sig. Going to check out sigforums.com right now.

Sig 250, pros & cons?
Academy has it in a 9mm with night sights, DAO, for about $650. Academy guy (official trainer by his nametag) who did seem to really know his stuff said Sig offers 3 sizes of lower for that pistol, to fit smaller and larger hands. I'm looking for my wife (I know she needs to try them herself, but I ...

Re: Corp of Engineers Lake
I emailed the CoE folks at Lake Georgetown and they emphatically said that NO firearms are allowed on ANY part of the property including parking lots. Now I don't know whether this is the law, or just a policy, or both. There are no signs to that effect that I have seen at Lake Georgetown. BTW I am...

Re: Bicycle carry, pepper spray on transit/LEO reaction?
I lived in Paris for some time in the late 80s early 90s. At the time you could buy (don't know about carry) a pistolet a grenaille, semi autos were available, they shot small birdshot. Lethal, sometimes, at close range. I'm pretty sure there were no restrictions on the purchase. Actual tear gas (la...

Re: Bought Another Pistol
So how does it feel in your hand without the trigger lock? I don't buy handguns there for a myriad of reasons, one of which is I cannot get a feel for the weapon due to the fact that they refuse to remove the big chunk of metal in the trigger and surrounding areas. I ask them to take it off....

Re: hotel safety deposit box
I am a former hotel GM. From my experience, the in room safe is next to useless. Maybe worse than useless, because using it signals that you have something worth stealing inside. Hiding your stuff in the mini bar would only be a little bit worse than the safe, IMO. The safe deposit boxes are a bette...

Re: Why?
it seems to me it would make more sense to have only one carry gun and carry it in the same holster in the same place every time. I carry an HK USPc .45 IWB, and keep a full size HK USP .45 in the bedside table, for exactly that reason. I could see getting something small enough to fit in a pocket,...

WTB S&W 642/442
I saw the guy selling a few posts down, but I don't need or want all the extras. I found one locally for $389 NIB, but maybe someone here wants to make a little room in their safe?

Re: Need an Austin-based, CHL-friendly attorney
Feral cats will roam and need to be controlled. People's pets are another thing altogether. If you own a cat you are responsible for its actions. Dogs will be dogs, but I'd bet if my dog went into a cat owner's yard and ate a cat they'd get plenty upset. How is it any different?

Re: North American Hunting Club?
It's a halfway decent magazine, but don't expect anything more than that. If they send unsolicited merchandise you can do what you want with it. You don't have to pay for it if you didn't ask for it.
Didn't you just ask this same question on another board?

Re: Support pours in for pizza driver...
Boycott Pizza Hut if you want, but most, maybe all, of the major pizza delivery companies have the same policy. I drove for the other two, and at that time anyway, they both prohibited any kind of weapon. A 4-D maglight and a big pocket knife were ok. As far as this: Howe's co-worker Kimberly Babis ...
