Re: CHL Classes
http://www.lonestarhandgun.com/FrameSA.htm 10 of the shortest hours I ever spent in a classroom! Plus, if you do it at Basspro, the range time is indoors. I second that I took the lonestar class as well. Josh is a great instructor and kept it interesting. Also did all the paper work in class all I ...

Re: Wally Walk
LOL yes the nachos. Well neither of our Wally Worlds have nachos. We have a McDonalds so I had to substitute a nice double quarter pounder with cheese. Hope that was sloppy enough. It definitely does get easier. Now that I have the holster riding lower and with more of a cant to it I really don't pr...

Wally Walk
Did my Wally Walk this past Sunday and well it was completely uneventful. It did feel like everyone was staring at me and knew I was carrying but nothing happened and I'm sure I was just being paranoid. I was breaking in my new Crossbreed supertuck deluxe IWB holster and must say it was very uncomfo...

Re: CCW weapon recommendation?
Another vote for the S&W sub compact. The M&P9c is my daily carry. Almost as easy to conceal as my Taurus CIA 651 snubbie. Its just a little longer in the back. Feels really good in my hand and shoots very well. I'd highly advise you to at least try one out. You'll be pleasantly surprised. L...

Re: Folding up my chair and moving on
Ouch good luck. You should be getting it right around the corner. If its been more than 60 days I'd give them a call. They are very friendly and usually helpful. Sometimes a call can kickstart things it seems. If it werent for the delay waiting for the passport I would have been right around the 60 ...

Re: Folding up my chair and moving on
Thanks all didnt make it out to wally world today but did get out to Hastings and was carrying. Felt totally natural and didn't really think about it much at all. Felt good actually and was totally without incident. I'll do a proper wally walk when I get a chance but I can see this is not going to b...

Yeah it didn't mention him having advance notice. Thats a pretty crucial piece of information that is missing. I would have certainly called for help if I had that much time to do something. That would make much more sense.

Answered my own question "]against the other's use or attempted use of unlawful force. The actor's belief that the force was immediately necessary as described by this subsection is presumed to be reasonable if the actor knew or had reason to believe that the person against whom the force was u...

Re: This is what happens when your not a Texan
Interesting I never really thought about him saying it was an accident. I can see how that would work against him. However I was thinking more along the lines of this falling under castle doctrine. . Interesting. What part of the Castle Doctrine would have applied in Texas? I don't think there woul...

Interesting I never really thought about him saying it was an accident. I can see how that would work against him. However I was thinking more along the lines of this falling under castle doctrine. You have a drunk angry mob on your property and one of the guys lunges for your gun. It is after dark ...

This is what happens when your not a Texan
Anyone else think this was justified? Guy probably had the worst defense attorney of all time. His defense was pretty weak. Basically in a nutshell. Group of angry teens shows up at this guys house after dark to attack his son. He goes out and confronts them. One of them make a move and he shoots. T...

Re: Folding up my chair and moving on
Just wanted to add my timeframe for reference. That makes 88 days total from day mailed to day issued. However it would have been faster. I was delayed about 30 days due to having to apply for a new passport to submit. This took 4 or 5 weeks. I was born overseas and didn't have a certificate of natu...
