Re: Application Packets

I checked at office dpot today. Their yellow paper is not even close to the App Form Yellow.

I will look at other places Friday. Completely wrapped up tomorrow.

As I understand it, the applications are not numbered any more, so how could they tell the difference between a scanned & printed form and a copy? My multi-function printer will make copies and it's nothing more than "scan & print".

I don't doubt that's what they told you, but that's just dumb. :headscratch

(The answer is dumb, not you.)
:headscratch I, uh, kinda had the same question?? How would they know, or why would they even care, if we scanned and printed it, or downloaded and printed it?
I dont know why. I honestly believe (my oppinion now)the lady I talked to said no because they were not on the site of things we can download.
What would be your oppinion of have a professional printer do some in yellow if it really gets tough.???

Lord grant Marty rest & ordered time so he can do all things necessary for a household, make a living & care for Linda. I ask for her healing in short order & her restraint during recovery to not reinjure anything.
In Jesus Name.

Re: Application Packets

The CHL80 form that is listed at the bottom of the page. Request for application is just that.
It is a request form for the application packet to be sent to you. They will send one packet & they have said you cant copy the application. I have a few but cant copy the yellow sheet Apps.

Re: Application Packets

I could not find it on the site even to try.
Mom said when I was a kid I could not lie then & I would be afraid to try. One of you Computer gurus could catch me pretty easy.

Re: Application Packets

I am busy trying to learn this too. No one here offers it. The reason I have one of the classes I am doing this month is they dont have to do anything on the Comp.
I am handing them everything. There is only one computer in the bunch.

Pawpaw1 wrote:Please excuse me if this is a dumb idea.

Has anyone considered scanning one into a PDF file so you can print as many packets as you need?

It seems like that would work until DPS gets their stuff together.

I could do it for you, if I had a blank application.
Not dumb at all. I wanted to.
I have talked to them & that is a no-no. The forms that are down loadable on line are OK to copy but I talked to them this morning & the Application itself is a no.

When they get it up loaded on the DPS site we will be able to download them from there but until get the packets from them, apply on line, or borrow. :banghead:

I am down to 20 on hand & still 3 classes this month.
I am hoping for a lot of on line appliers. :patriot:

Re: Application Packets

That will be good then but I only have 20 now & have a 10 student class the 23-24th.

Where I am in the Deep East Texas Piny woods I need the paper. A LOT of folks here dont do computers. That is the reason these older retired folks signed up for this one w/ me.

Anyone got any to spare PM me please.
Thanks

Application Packets

I talked to a good friend this morning. Also an instructor. We are both just about out of App Packets.

Are any of you copying the Application Sheets like we are able to do the other forms??. These are not down loadable that I am able to find.
We were told at Instructor School that soon they would be discontinued.
I am in a VERY rural area & a huge segment of the people here are still not computer literate.
Until 2 yrs ago all we had available at our church was dial up. :banghead: sloooooww & sometimes not even workable.

The packets/ paper apps are very important to me.

Anyone have extras you are willing to share. I will borrow, pay freight, what ever I need to do.
Thanks in advance
LT
