Re: Officer Invades Apartment, Shoots Resident
Another thought, I thought this was manslaughter, if there were no other facts that came out to contradict the story that she mistakenly entered that apartment. It makes me wonder if how that was presented was not believed by the jury. If they didn't believe that then I'm curious what was believed ...

Re: TX: Dallas man goes back to bed after shooting burglar.
... So if the homeowner knew that the items in his shed were worth less than $1,500 the failure to report statute might not apply (no underlying felony offense). But if the stuff in his shed was less than the felony level of $1500 then shooting at the burglar could not be justified even if all the ...

Re: Officer Invades Apartment, Shoots Resident
I thought it was interesting this morning that she said she realized theres an intruder in her apartment when she put the key in the door and the door started opening. Till now I was under the impression that she realized someone was in the appartment AFTER she was in but according to her she knew s...

Re: Help identifying rattler!!
Welp Mike Posner got himself a snake bite so any searches for the past 7 days are flooded with that story. Still no mention of anyone in Texas reported dead from a bite. There was one guy in PA but he got bit last Saturday.

Re: El Paso Walmart Shooting
1. The first responders wouldn't know me from a bad guy.
This is really scary and honestly it would probably determine my actions barring protecting my family or myself from the shooter.

Re: Help identifying rattler!!
Think about it this way. If you dont get to the hospital and the bite goes south, you might still be OK overall but your handgun grip technique could be impaired and you'll be made fun of at the range. You dont want to be Snake-hands-cant-shoot do you? (I've worked in healthcare in the past... you t...

Re: Today in Trump's new term as President
Today a coworker told me that hes so upset that Trump is visiting El Paso. Apparently he blames Trump for what happened and is offended by his visit. He's offended by the President of the United States visiting one of his States that has just experienced a tragedy. If Trump didn't go he would have b...

Re: Today in Trump's new term as President
Red flag laws for the mentally ill with "rapid due process" (rephrasing the just take their guns comment?) and tightening on background checks. Oh boy. It seems that his reelection will cost us dearly and we're still over a year away.

Re: New to Concealed Carry, have a few questions
You can also purchase a SA/DA pistol which you could carry in DA mode ( thumb safety would be optional). Trigger pull for DA mode increases dramatically ( mine goes from 4 to 11 lbs). I believe this is how the LA Police Dept. use to carry their Beretta 92s. This is my preferred method of carrying. ...

Re: New to Concealed Carry, have a few questions
I dont know if I ever muster the courage to carry chambered tbh. Right now I carry off body because of work attire constraints (tucked in business casual). Definitely need a lot of practice. If a gun is in its holster, there is so little chance of a discharge that it should pose no concern at all. ...
