i had a similar time frame. took class on 9-29 mailed packet 10-1 except that i got my PIN via USPS on 10-27. You are looking at almost 60 days just to get a PIN? Something sounds odd. I would call, just ask to check the status of the application and they will give you the latest info they have. BTW...

from my very limited experience with the process, i assume that most of the wait time is due to delays in background checks. Do you have several counties that need to be checked?
