Re: State Fair Experiance
Parking is no problem anymore because you can park in the fair grounds right by the midway. I never park outside anymore. Things have really changed there.

Re: State Fair Experiance
My hope is the BGs back out as soon as they see the wands and DPD stand close by. I have been going to the State Fair for over 50 years, and I can tell you it is the cleanest and safest I have ever seen it. Nobody should worry about taking their family to the the Fair during State Fair days thanks t...

State Fair Experiance
As always I visited the Fair on Thursday (Senior Day) this year, and as usual I was interested to see how they handle CHL holders. Just like last year they asked my wife to open her purse for inspection as they ran the wand over her. Then the lady approached me with the wand and asked if I have any ...

Re: state fair carry
I went to the fair last year on senior day, and as I approached the gate a guy with a wand asked to look in my wife's purse. Then as he approached me with his wand I showed him my CHL, and he asked if I was carrying. I said yes, and he said have a good day. Some have told me they call over the DPD o...

Market Hall Surprise
I went to the RV Show today at Market Hall, and realizing the building has a 30.06 plainly market at the entrance, due to my gun show experience, I left my gun in the car. When I arrived at the main entrance I was shocked to see there was no 30.06 signage in sight. I thought it was a permanent sign ...

Re: Warning for shooter of lighweight revolver, esp. LCR
The S&W Manual for my 340PD specifically instructs you to shoot four shots and then check the bullet pull on the 5th shell. That way you can check the ammo you will be shooting. I shoot Speer 135gr SB .357 or the same bullet in 38+P with out any issues, other than the pain in my hand.

Re: Third CHL Renewal
That makes sense. ThanksSkiprr wrote:One reason we don't want to see the license expiration go beyond five years is that doing so would void the CHL exemption from the NICS background check.

Re: Third CHL Renewal
OK guys I get it, I think. On my next expiration date I submit photos and fingerprings so they can do a background check, but I don't have to take the written or shooting test. Thanks for the info. I thought after the second renewal my license would say expires on my b day in 10 years.

Re: Third CHL Renewal
So does that mean I just renew my license with applicaple fees, but I don't have to take the class or do the shooting test?

Third CHL Renewal
My understanding is when you renew your CHL for a third, and subsequent times, your CHL is good for 10 years. I just renewed for the third time and my renewal date is 2014. Anyone know why this happened? This rule is listed on page 14 in the 2007-2008 CHL Laws and Statutes Book under GC 411.185 RENE...
