Re: Who has ARs in stock here in Texas?
I've never found CTD's gun prices to be cheaper than dirt, so I am not surprised to see them leading the panic gouging.

I had to do the same thing (resort to GB), but it was close enough to drive over for a FtF.

Re: Advice on new AR
Thanks for the info. GB is up quite a bit, but there are a few locals that could fit into the time frame.

Advice on new AR
I have been thinking about a basic but quality .223 AR-style for my Dad for Xmas and in light of recent events I am wondering if I have waited too long. As was with the ammunition shortages a few years ago, prices soared and inventories shrunk, and semi-organized hoarding was the order of the day. C...

Re: Kimber Solo Carry Range Report
There guns are beautifully made. I think that has a lot to do with the following. If I had it to do over again I probably would go with the aluminum colored frame instead of the black frame (they are both aluminum frames from what I can tell from their specs). The black (Kim Pro II finish) seems to...

Re: Should the 380 be discouraged as a CCW ?
I carry either a Kahr p380 or Sig p238, if I have a .380 sized pocket on a particular day. I've found that they are both interestingly quite accurate if you spend a little range time with them. Never had a reliability problem with either. Sometimes my pocket is 9mm sized, sometimes .45 ACP sized. So...

Re: New to CHL and to the Forum
What type of pocket holster? I also thought about caring in cargo pocket of shorts during the summer also. Kydex is pretty good in the summer when there is a lot of moisture. Grandfather Oak is reasonably inexpensive pocket kydex and works well (if one breaks its not that expensive). I used to like...

Re: What to do if you are "made"?
When I first went out I couldn't imagine that everyone didn't notice the bulge in my front pants pocket. Well men don't look there and women find me invisible already so they don't look either. +1. For about 6 years I've had the same pocket carry in a variety of clothes, never an untucked shirt, an...

Re: Are all indoor gun ranges hot?
During the summer I have yet to find one that is comfortable. I take a towel.baldeagle wrote:...almost insufferable. Is there an indoor range where the temperature is comfortable?

Re: Dallas Pistol Club
At DPC during the week, you often have the range to yourself, which can be a relaxing environment. Sometimes during the weekends the later afternoons are pretty quiet too. Of course during the summer months the heat of the day has a bearing on attendance.

Re: ammo on sale
Academy in Grapevine TX had a pretty good stock of everything, including some .380. I needed only 9mm for plinking and forgot to check the .380 price.
