I carried right past the 30.06 signs at the Amarillo Gun Show. It was at the Amarillo Civic Center. Plus, the sign was only in English, no español. Civic Center is government owned and cannot be posted.

If you had a CHL, then the signage does not apply to you.
If you do not have a CHL, then you should not have a loaded gun outside of your vehicle unless you are walking to or from your residence and/or hotel/motel room.
And yes, you can carry it open and unloaded going into the gun show. I don't remember the exact statute, but I do remember that you can carry to a gun related event with no hassles.
