You could try this. You have to completely flush the system of all antifreeze first. A fella on the Venture forum used it and sealed a leaky head gasket on his Dodge Ram with umpteen million miles on it.

No way would I ever buy a brand new vehicle. Lose too much value way to fast.
I bought a 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis earlier this year with 108K on it for $3200 cash.
Something else you could try is a product called "Water Wetter". It's an additive that is put in the coolant. Lots of the weekend warrior motorcycle racers use it at tracks that ban coolant.

What kind of water pump did you put on? Was it an OEM Mazda? Fella on the Two Wheeled Texans forum just went through something similar with his Toyota Echo. Had the radiator rodded and cleaned, new aftermarket water pump, new thermostat. Still overheated.
Replaced the BRAND NEW aftermarket water pump with an OEM Toyota water pump and fixed the problem.
