That's an excellent reason for Texas gun owners who want campus safety to vote against legislators who didn't actively push campus safety.Jasonw560 wrote:This is true. If their votes represented the interests of their constituents, it's fair for them to expect their constituents to vote for them. However, if they didn't represent their constituents, it's the epitome of representative democracy for their constituents to vote against them.
Hypothetically speaking, if they represented the interests of out-of-state people (or even out-of-district people) instead... well, let's see how many votes they get from the out-of-state people they represented.
