Some of the arrests are for driving without a license, criminal mischief, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and assault with bodily injury. Wow.

And the drug she was arrested for a few days ago is in the penalty group of hard drugs - cocaine, heroin, meth, etc.

What the heck is aggravated assault with a deadly weapon?
I'd recommend you start conducting background checks on future employees!
Nice of them to just give out arrest information to anyone calling in...Oh well, I guess it's a matter of public record anyway...but more importantly was she "convicted" of anything, or just arrested for 'being annoying' (it happens... )

I better run my gardener through e-Verify along with all his employees, so I don't have ICE knocking down my door and killing my cat with a flashbang. And where is that 1099-MISC I was supposed to send the plumber... "rlol"

I don't think that she has any obligation to tell the company that she was arrested.
If she possesses or uses at work that is a different matter.
Also you can't discriminate based on age.....
I agree with WildBill. Furthermore, I can't help but wonder what dog the OP has in this hunt?
Actually you can discriminate in employment based on age, but not against someone older than 40.

But also idk what ur policy is but a lot of companies have where if they employee admits they have a problem with drugs on their own then they cant be fired and the company usually helps. But if you give her a drug test and she fails then you are good to go. Recommend a drug test if you want to play it safe
Texas is right to work so unions can't have a closed shop where you have to join the union to get a job at a unionized employer. They are also an "employment at will state", like pretty much the other 49 states (to one degree or another), so let the lady go for any reason whatsoever... :rules:

And maybe put written notice in your employee manual that coming onto the property after being arrested for possession is prohibited and you can charge her with trespassing too... :biggrinjester:
