Why do full nationwide reciprocity when we can have a special carve out for elected officials?

Also one thing that I haven't seen reported....it's pretty easy to get a VA non-res carry license. I have one. Congressmen should get them too.

I read somewhere that Congressmen are allowed to carry on the grounds of the Capitol, though not in the rest of DC. Presumably, he can also get a NY license, though he better limit himself to carrying 7 rounds in the handgun and 10 round mags.

Are they sure it wasn't an AR-47 or an AK-15 machine gun? Those are deadly and can be picked up at a gun show without any background check.
