A number of bullet holes in aviation fuel tanks at 2000 feet from shooter. I forgot how close all this is to the airport.

Had a gun safe. Mentioned a gun room. I think we are up to 43 guns now.

Reno neighbors said he was strange.

Had allergy problems. Wore gloves, girlfriend didn't wear makeup or perfume. Casino cleaned carpets for him with plain water.
The AvGas thing is silly to me. This guy was intelligent by all accounts and a pilot. He had to know that shooting an aviation tank had virtually no chance to cause an explosion or a fire.
^^^^^^^ Yes, I wish the 'media' would do just a LITTLE research on this and STOP sensationalizing the event beyond what it already was.

The tanks were a long way away. Most recent reports are that a single round managed to penetrate one of the tanks (but no photos presented to support that). The type fuel would be displayed on the outside of the tank (JET A) almost certainly. Which is basically kerosene.

It is 'combustible' not 'flammable', meaning it has a flash point of 100° F or greater (the point at which it can even produce vapors). In order for there to be a fire, there would also need to be a certain level of oxygen present. The auto-ignition point for JET A is 410° F, so absent a flame...something would need to generate and transfer heat equal to that figure for the fuel to actually burn (the vapor that is).

So all of this talk about an 'Explosion' and how lucky everyone was....is just so much hyperbole being spewed by ignorant media personnel.

The conditions for even a fire did not exist, let alone an explosion. To my knowledge...no incendiary rounds were fired, so it just wasn't going to happen. (tanks explode or catch fire).
But if he'd had incendiary rounds... We really need to ban them. You do not need incendiary rounds for hunting deer. Or big clips either! :evil2:

Who did he eat with at the Mandalay Bay on the night of the 27th. The receipt says Guests 2.

Who indeed? And this article says the receipt was for room service. You can see the date better in their picture.

Since he was staying in a suite it's common to bring settings for more than one, even if only one person is registered. Usually they ask, but not always. I wouldn't read too much into it until more info comes out.

Rafael Cruz Sr.? I'm going with the lone gunman theory, but who knows? I guess we'll find out in due time. Turns out the shooter's father was a convicted bank robber.
