Renewal Question
Are a new set of finger prints required for renewals? I also heard you don't need to have a new photo taken if you have a recent TXDL, e.g. they'll just use your driver license photo. Is this true?
Edit for clarification: This being a first renewal before the original expires.

Verifying Instructor Certification
I was wondering if there was anywhere to get a list of licensed instructors or verify if someone offering a class is a certified? I checked DPS website, maybe I just fail but didn't see anything.

Used my CHL as ID
So I went to a bar last night and used my CHL as ID. It wasn't intentional, just happened to be what I pulled out instead of the drivers license I was aiming for. The bouncer either didn't notice or didn't care and just checked the birthdate. (And of course no, I wasn't carrying).

Re: WOAI: Gun permit allows quick access to Texas Capitol
I would find it hilariously awesome if so many lobbyists, lawyers and journalists that signed up for this "express lane" such that it becomes the bottleneck.

Re: People that are good at finding quotes of laws; little h
I had seen and communicated what you guys had posted but then was told That's 46.02(a-1). If you'd read the whole thing, you'd see there were conditions under which it didn't apply. Ever wonder why people are allowed to carry handguns for hunting or at shooting ranges in Texas? Section 46.15(b) (in ...

People that are good at finding quotes of laws; little help?
I'm having a discussion with someone that swears it's okay to have your hand gun in plain view in your car "if you're traveling" or "on your property". The scope of the discussion is restricted to Texas and agnostic to whether the person carrying has a CHL or not. I contend it is...

Vegas reciprocity?
I'll be going to vegas at the end of the month. From what I can tell Nevada is a no go for TX CHL but wanted to double check in case my info was outdated or incorrect. Links to .gov or state.nv.us sites would be appreciated.

Legality question regarding non US citizen shooters
I have a couple of friends who are not US citizens, but are here legally. They have expressed an interest in going to the range. Is there any issue w/ me taking them out to fire some rounds down range?

Re: No Gun Apartment Lease?
I don't know that I have much new to add but FWIW I've lived in several apartments w/o issue; standard TAA lease each time. Although I try to avoid it, the times I have passed others going to and from the car with a rifle case or shotgun in hand they're either oblivious and caught up in their own co...
