Yeah I went to the range earlier this week and I guess there was a guy preparing for his CHL. He asked for a "green" target and sure enough it's about twice as big as the "normal" ones. I wonder if he'll be in my class, heh. Judging by his age and marksmanship I imagine he'd probably just be going for a renewal if anything though.

I'm not excited in the sense that I'm going to the the best shot in the class but w/ 12" x 18" for a 5 point score as you say (which i understood to be the highest score per shot?) I feel pretty good after measuring some of my previous targets around the center w/ a 8.5x11 piece of paper.

But seriously, you have a 12x18 window for a perfect score?! It seems like you would have to be drunk, stoned, and unconscious to fail that test then.

Wow, I just looked up the dimension on a b-27 target: Size: 24" x 45". So basically it's wider than the target I'm used to shooting at is tall. I feel more confident now

Do you get bonus points if you qualify blindfolded ?

I just heard from a friend that the target for qualification is ridiculously oversized. Is there any truth to that or is it just the same old silhouette you get at the range?
