Thanks, CompVest I looked at the TTS website looks like they have alot to offer. I might have to see about coming out and watching one of the events just to see it first hand before I decide to join in on the fun.
From personal experience, I can tell you that someone will most likely ask you where your rig is and invite you to join in the action. You will probably also find just watching incredibly boring after a while.

SHavis wrote:I forgot a valuable piece of info! I'm here near the Gulf Coast near Alvin(south of Houston). Near enough to PSC that, on a quiet day, I can hear when the range is hot. One of these days I'll make my way over there.

Good plan.

However, don't expect to find any "management types" there to talk to, unless you've contacted someone beforehand. The club is run by "volunteer labor".

You are welcome to look around, assuming the gate is open, but cannot shoot unless you are a member or a guest of a member or a participant in one of the sponsored events.

If you haven't already done so, check http://www.psc-range.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for instructions on the application procedure and to register for a new member orientation.

Keith B wrote:Man, there's a joke in there somewhere. Let's see... 'Two Baptist ministers and a Lutheran priest go to preach the funeral of a lawyer.....' "rlol"
point of order -- Lutherans (at least the ones I know, and I was one for nearly fifty years) don't have priests; they have either ministers or pastors.

Re: Introduce yourself

Welcome to the forum, TexasRedRock.

The Marines I have known would chastise you, because they would say there's no such thing as a "former Marine". Even though you now "belong" to another branch of service, you're still "once a Marine (always a Marine)".

Re: Introduce yourself

There's at least one other six-string player here. Been playing guitar since 1963 (you'd think I'd be better by now), play in the praise band at church, and in Praise & Worship Club at work (Johnson Space Center). Gibson electrics and Taylor acoustics.

Age: 60
Occupation: Space Shuttle Flight Controller, nearing retirement
Years CHL: zero, still in waiting room, took class just after Thanksgiving
Married: 24 yrs (amazing she puts up with me)
District: Senate Mike Jackson, Rep Larry Taylor
Primary carry: will probably be CZ 75 D compact 9mm (just bought yesterday, so have to break it in)
