Well I now know how to fly with a firearm after calling Continental and IAH. I also looked up which states honor Texas' CHL, and New Jersey along with New York is not one of them. So I guess I will not be flying with my CCW.

Airplanes, and weapons???

Hey guys, tomorrow afternoon I will be flying to New Jersey to visit a friend for the week. I don't exactly feel comfortable being over there with absolutely nothing to protect myself with, because we will be going into NYC and various other places that may or may not be breeding grounds for crime. ...

Thanks again for the tips. Went to the range again after work and put about 150 rounds through it. Got better and better as it went on. I brought it home and cleaned her up real good and oiled her down for the next range session. I'll probaby try carrying around my XD for a couple more days until my...

I know what you mean. But, I am not 100% on all the details that the news gave out. According to the 911 call, it didn't sound like he was justified. Although I would like to think he should not be penalized, he did go outside where he was perfectly safe inside.

thanks for the advice guys. I haven't started carrying it yet. I have lubed it up and its sitting in my desk waiting to take it out at lunch. I'm going to do just as the manual says. Put 30 rounds through. Clean and relube, then 100 rounds and clean and relube again. Then I'll start carring. I figur...

My new CCW

Hey guys, I'm 21 and I received my CHL in October. I never really started carring unti now. I bought a Glock 27 specifically for CCW because I am a smaller (5'10" - 165lbs) guy and my XD is too big for me to conceal well. I didn't like the Glock after all so I traded it in along with an old Col...

Thank you sir. As I was reading that I refreshed myself and realized I remembered hearing that from my father when he first received his CHL.

Thank you again for clearing it up.

CHL as License?

I can't remember from class, but it is ok to use our CHL as our TDL? For instance, if we get pulled over for a speeding ticket, or if we are asked for ID for any reason is it valid to show only or Texas CHL and not our Texas Drivers License? I don't want to carry around both in my small money clip, ...

New Guy

Hey guys I got my CHL last month so I've been looking for a good website to learn the most that I can off of. I'm 21 years old. Student and work full time for my dad's company. I have had my CHL for about 2 months. I have a Springfield XD .40, Colt 1991A1, and a Glock 27 I just picked up hopefully a...
