Welp... had to send her prints in again for the THIRD time. They finally accepted them and her plastic came in the mail on Saturday Nov 8th. Man, I was beginning to think it would never happen.Shaggy wrote:Woohoo.... how appropriate on Patriot Day.... Still waiting on the wife's, they didn't like her fingerprints so we had to get them redone last weekend and sent them in on Monday.

LOL ohhh thats a huge relief....LOLroff wrote:Shaggy wrote:From my understanding there is a very atypical load on the system due to the current presidential candidates and fears that come November guns will be outlawed across the land.
i think even if obama is elected
we have until about january (when he is actually in office)
to be worried bout the gun bans
Either way, I personally dont believe in the hype and I really have no fear that my guns will be taken from me.... at least while I still have ammo and a pulse.

Re: June Applicants
I was discharged in Jan 94 and my DD214 has line 24, however, there are two versions. One has the lower 1/4 of it blocked out after line 22 with a hash mark type pattern, the other is the full form with all the data in the blacked out area exposed. I happen to have both copies of mine.Grammy wrote:I was dicharged in 1994, my DD 214 only goes to block 22. I guess the form has been updated since then.lhdz12 wrote:My DD 214 states "Honorable Discharge", it's on line 24. Character of Service!!!!!Well just checked the mail and I received a copy of my DD 214 with a post it note on it to provide documents stating I had been hoorably discharged. Never seen a dis-honorable discharge before but I'm sure if thats the case it would be a diferent DD 214, or it would be noted on it somewhere.

Re: June Applicants
Does the status on the page ever change from processing application to approved, mailed etc? Or does it just stay that way until you get your plastic and typically from the time they start processing how long does it take to get it in hand? Another month?

Re: June Applicants
I just went ahead and sent them copies of my discharge "diplomas" from both the National Guard and Regular Army with mine along with a copy of my DD214. Let's hope that was enough to satisfy them for mine :)
