As a customer, I'm very pleased with Shiloh. The lighting is good, the temperature and air flow are good and the folks are top notch. I just "joined" up with the IDPA club that meets on Thursdays and that was a "blast". It was a bit crowded, but no one gave me any grief because I could never hear when my name was called. The full size passive Howard Leights that I use have a NRR of 30 and believe me, it's not an exaggeration. I make my living with my ears and not taking any chances. Don't worry guys, I will be back and ordered some Howard Leight electronic muffs and I've been advised that if I use them with plugs, it's perfect. I'm hoping they come in before this Thursday. But even if they don't, I'll be back and I'm bringing a good friend along with my 17 year old daughter.
I'm getting involved with a Venturing Scout crew that shoots out of SGA so I'll be going there much more often in the future. SGA has a nice area full of classrooms and having the extra space behind the shooting lanes works well when instructing new shooters such as the scouts we work with.
So far, I've only been there as a customer a couple times but both times were very enjoyable. The equipment works well, the lighting is good and the HVAC kept up with the 110+ temperature outside. for me it's not worth the extra 10 mile drive through stop lights so I'll still keep my main practice range at Shiloh but SGA is definitely top notch and if I lived closer, it would definately get the nod.
