I have no problem with a person carrying solely on the basis of a non-resident license. Some of the reasons that Texas has for revocation/ineligibility for a Texas CHL are rather ridiculous. Take a look at Texas Penal Code, § 42.01. All of those can keep you from getting a Texas CHL.
