He might be able to talk with them about some of his old military days. If he's a General, he might be able to spark some interest in them in the military. Who knows. Old military stories can do a lot to garner some respect in young people. Maybe its just the type of people I grew up with, but I thi...

MONROE, Ohio - A top cop mistakenly shot himself in the thigh after giving his daughter a lesson in gun safety, police said. Middletown police Chief Greg Schwarber, 54, was preparing to clean his Glock .45-caliber pistol on Friday and didn't realize the gun was still loaded, according to a police re...

Re: Amber Alert question

I'm going to reiterate the radio numbers and alphabet that the Navy uses, just as a quick reminder. 1- Wun 2- Twoo 3- Tree 4- Fower 5 -Fife 6- Six 7- Se-ven 8- Ate 9- Niner 0- Zee-ro Remember if you are going to use mult-digit numbers, say each digit individually. 315 would be "tree-wun-fife&qu...

That more or less changed the opinion of everyone in the class. I have received many a couple emails asking how I got CHL certified, and from people asking me if I would take them shooting. :thumbs2: Sounds like a great way to meet girls. :) Not that there's ANYTHING wrong with that... :woohoo Work...

Re: Coming home to find a burglar in your house...

I have had a similar concern going home to my house when I was home from school. We have a neighbor across the street who we have had problems with before (and by problems, I mean he tried to run over my mom with his car), so whenever I enter the house and no one is home, I am especially aware of an...

Exactly. I called the DPS licensing office, and apparently being on an ROTC scholarship counts as active duty. Since I am paid by the Navy on a bi-weekly basis, I just sent in a W-2 form, and they approved it without any problems.

Re: My new red Silverado Extended Cab pickup

Not that it would matter, even if you HAD evidence of someone keying your truck. I had a guy who was irritated at me for parking in the street in front of his house. He started throwing nails under my tires. Well, after 2 flats, and my sister's double blowout, we finally got the guy on tape throwing...
