Re: A disappointing State Fair episode 10-1-09

Mr. Longley great letter!

I had 2 free tickets to go this year, and gave them away! They didn't get any of my money this year!

Re: A disappointing State Fair episode 10-1-09

To heck with checking CHL holders... they should get the info for all registered pedophiles and sex offenders! I am sure there have been reports of unwanted behavior in that category(unfortunately)!

Re: A disappointing State Fair episode 10-1-09

I am glad my brother (who frequents this site more than I), linked me this thread as I will be attending the Fair with other friends Sunday the 11th. Thank you to everyone for their efforts in this matter. So they "shred" the info at the end of the day??? Now what happens when they find th...

Re: AMC 30 30.06 Posting

A friend told me that the AMC 30 in Mesquite is posted, so I have not been back... although now I wonder if it is a legal posting...

Re: Non-CHL Vehicle Carry

srothstein thanks for the tip on Section 9.22 necessity... I am sure that could apply to many other things other than the carrying if firearms. Glad to know!

Re: sign at my grocery store

brian704 that one threw me off the first time I saw it once I had my CHL. It was outside a liquor store and for a second there I had to think about it :p. I did find it interesting that I noticed both of them amongst the lottery and cigarette signs :p as Keith B already mentioned.

Re: Scarborough Fair

I go every Sunday and I shall take better notice for any and let you know. I do not carry there as I am dressed in metal armor. However, I should have noticed them as being a CHL holder I need to be aware of these things even when I am not carrying. I highly doubt they are 51%!!! That would be a lot...

Dallas motorcyclist dies in hit-and-run wreck

So here is my question about this scenario: Say you are the other biker and you see the car do the hit and run then flee the scene, obviously you are angry, but to me a 2-3 ton car = deadly weapon as obviously this story proves. Hit and Run with fatal results to me seams like a reason to draw and de...

Re: Nascar carry question?

It would also mean that any of the NASCAR drivers could legally carry during the race with or without a CHL. Don't you have to own the car for that to apply (or own the bussiness)??? I always thought so, but it would be nice to know for sure. Such as a non CHL holder carrying in a friend's car (or ...

Re: Economy: Emergent problems for CHL holders

I just avoid a potentially bad situation and show my receipt. Yeah I do not agree with that, but especially now having my CHL and carrying 99% of the time, I would rather show that piece of paper then start a bad situation. Let say you refuse when asked to show your receipt and get blocked by severa...

Re: Maadi ak-47

When I finally was in the market to purchase an AK I had asked a coworker who was in the gun industry for many years prior to moving to Texas to be on the look out for me an AK. I told him I had about $400 to spend but that I could be flexible. That was about 6 months prior to the recent presidentia...

Re: Ammo Shortage?

A coworker went a Wally World (somewhere in Dallas area) and of course the shelves were quite bare. In fact he was told by the manager that people are coming in and buying $7k worth at a time. Wish I could afford that, but what was interesting was a sign he saw posted on the counter. He said it read...

Re: Homeowner shoots back at M-16/AR-15 wielding robbers

Too bad the got away! I am glad they identified one of them and I hope they catch him soon. I am glad the homeowner didn't hit a neighbor with a stray shot and that would be some bad publicity. I wonder if the BGs ever got a shot off????
