TX DL Renewal Issue & CHL

Forgive me if this has already been asked before, but I couldn’t seem to find an answer in the search results. My CHL is not due to expire until late in 2012. My DL is set to expire next month. I just renewed my DL online and now it appears I have to wait 45 to 60 days for the DL Renewal to arrive. ...

Re: More Reason To Carry - Walmart Robbery

Not to go off topic, but an update to the story: http://www.click2houston.com/news/24019737/detail.html Looks like they caught the thugs! One less bunch off the streets (for now at least). No doubt the video shows there was hardly any time to react. Increasing situational awareness might help to pre...

More Reason To Carry - Walmart Robbery

Another Wal-mart parking lot robbery near Leaugue City Texas. Story here: http://www.click2houston.com/news/23988484/detail.html The video is here: http://www.click2houston.com/video/23988311/index.html  Not only does it give us another reason to carry, but more importantly it reminds us to e...

Re: Is there is anti-gun confiscation law in Texas?

IIRC, I thought the Federal Legislation was actually an amendment to a Homeland Security funding bill that specifically stated that no Federal funds were to be used to confiscate firearms during an emergency (no Federal confiscation). I’m not sure if the language was meant for all future funds or ju...

Re: TSRA Seminars

I know that this is still in the works in getting started, but where would be the best placed to look for announcements ahead of time when one is scheduled? This site, TSRA? Just making sure I don't miss any announcements. I am very interested in attending. Sorry, skipped right over CHAS answer by m...

Another Fatal Home Invasion

http://www.click2houston.com/news/22738659/detail.html

Another reason to make sure your home is secure when you are home. The article stated that it appeared he never had a chance to even get his weapon. Very scary. Make sure all of your windows and doors are locked as well as staying armed.

Dry Cleaners Manager Shoots Robbers

A Dry Cleaner's Manager shoots robbers in the process of a robbery. I'm glad the owner is safe and glad to see that he was aware and armed. He had his CHL and was prepared. :thumbs2: Though I'm concerned that these crimes are occurring more and more, I'm glad that it turned out in favor of the owner...

Re: Sugar Land mayor robbed at gunpoint in his driveway

This is just getting to be ridiculous. Increase in robberies, home invasions and a string of mass shootings! All the more reason to be armed and ready to defend as well as a good dose of situational awareness. Thank God we can be legally be armed in Texas! :anamatedbanana I’d hate to be in Kaliforni...

Re: Yet another office shooting today

1,000,000,000,000,000 would not be enough. They just feel they have not taken it far enough. :headscratch Yeah, their default stance is "if we could have only prevented the bad guy from getting a gun then we would have prevented the shooting". So basically the logical disconnect is that 1...
