There are lots of legitimate and legal reasons to decline an offer. I think this thread should have been named "People with the wrong values Immigrating To Texas". I was one of those Yankies from rural Indiana. I've lived here 35 years now. I've never had a problem adjusting to the Texas way of life. Texas actually fits me better than where I came from.

I don't think those people and companies willing to invest large sums of money right now, to get out of those other places, are the types that are going to try to turn TX into NY... think of the cost to relocate.
