Nothing that fancy. It is an inexpensive "Daisy" red dot, $10 at Academy. The mount is from Cricket. I wanted something easy to start with the kids, basically all I needed to tell them was "put the red dot on what you want to hit." Other shooting techniques ( sight alignment, etc) will come later, "fun" is the primary goal right now. :coolgleamA:

Thanks all for the kind comments. They were still excited this morning, already asking when we can go again!!!

BTW - My oldest daughter took a picture of me having a little fun too. :coolgleamA: Notice how my youngest has her arm around me "giving me pointers".....

GREAT DAY! (Young Daughters at the Range).....

I had a GREAT DAY today ...... thought I'd share.

Took my Daughters (6 & 9) to the range today. It was hot, but they had a great time. This is the second trip for the 9 year old ( Thread for First Day ), but the first for the 6 year old.

The best part today was the HUGE GRIN on the youngest's face when she knocked the can off the stand!!! She was hooked instantly!

Here are some pictures from today:

I am a very PROUD daddy. I sure hope I can continue to keep their interest in shooting while they grow up.
