I will admit that 3-Gun competition can get expensive, but there are budget ways to get into the sport. Start out shooting irons, and use a pump shotgun. Also, the competition belts are nice, but not required.. Work out a budget and a plan and get there over time. Also, keep an eye on the competition forums like http://www.brianenos.com/forums/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; , folks there are always upgrading their setup and selling used equipment. Easy way to find some great deals.

FYI - at most competitions, a Saiga shotgun will put you in OPEN class (red dot on pistols, mutiple optics on rifles, optics on Shotguns). Not that it's bad, just wanted to make you aware.I'd like to get into three gun big time. Been thinking about a Saiga shotgun for it and maybe an AK-47 for the rifle.

Re: 3 gun setup
Yes, the "fuzzy" side of the vecro goes in your pant belt loops, like a regular belt. Then the outer just attaches to it. Same setup the USPSA/IPSC guys use.
Yes, I use the ones with tek-lok, therefore you put them on the belt, and then they don't move. And it makes it easy to move around if needed for a particular stage.

Re: 3 gun setup
Depends upon how far you want to go, and how much $$$$ you want to spend. Comp-Tac and BladeTech make some good pistol/AR mag pouches. As for shotgun shell holders, most folks are going to the AP INDUSTRIES LLC 4x4 shell holders, but California Custom Works holders are still popular. I highly recommend getting a dedicated belt (inner/outter, ex CR Speed, Safariland, etc) so that you can put the pouches where you need them and not have to worry about belt loops.
Here was my 3-Gun Setup last year:
![Image](http://www.woodfam.com/forums/myguns_IMAG0239_3GunSetup_b.jpg)
Belt = CR Speed inner/outter
Holster = BladeTech DOH
Pistol Mag Pouch = BladeTech Competition
AR Mag Pouch = BladeTech
Shell Caddies = AP INDUSTRIES LLC (4x4 shells) & California Custom Works (6 shell)
I have since updated my belt to the Safariland ELS system (no pic yet).

ETA: Search around, places like Brownells and MidwayUSA have good prices. Comp-Tac is local to the Houston area, might save you some shipping.
